What is lassi?
"Lassi" is referred to any yogurt based drink. There are sweet lassi (made with sugar or jaggery) and salty lassi (made with salt and other spices)
Is lassi vegan?
It is not vegan as it is yogurt drink. But you can make it vegan by adding your choice of vegan yogurt
INGREDIENTS
2 cups chopped mangoes
3 to 4 teaspoon of sugar
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
Few strands of saffron
1/4 tsp rose water
Crushed pistachio and mint leaves for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
In a blender put chopped mangoes, yogurt, milk, sugar, rose water, cardamom and saffron and blend until smooth
If needed add more milk or yogurt to get desired consistency
Pour mango lassi in serving glasses. Garnish it with mint leaves and crushed pistachios
