Monster Apple bites are an easy Halloween snack recipe to scare up a good time. With a few simple ingredients like apples, peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice), pine nuts and strawberries, you have an adorable apple recipe to serve at your next party !!!
These cute little spooky apples are so fun to make and serve. Try them at your Halloween bash and watch kids smile just as much as the adults.
Not only do these monster apple bites make a fantastic treat, but they can also double as a Halloween craft if you precut the apples and let the kids make their own little monsters.
INGREDIENTS
2 green apples (each quartered)
Peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice)
3 strawberries (sliced)
Pine nuts (or sunflower seeds)
Googly eyeball candy (2 per apple bites)
DIRECTIONS
Cut apple into quarters. Cut the middle out of each quarter of the apple in order to create a mouth. Do not worry about it being perfect, as you are filling this gap with peanut butter.
Coat the inside of the gap where you just cut with a filling peanut butter.
Place 1 sliced strawberry inside the mouth to resemble the tongue.
Place pine nuts on the top of butter of where the "mouth" is to resemble the teeth.
"Glue" each eye above the mouth, using a dab of peanut butter to make it stick in place.
Serve your monsters and enjoy!
