Puliyogare Spice Mix is used in puliyogare rice (a.k.a. Tamarind Rice) recipe. You add this spice mix to pulikaachal i.e. tamarind sauce
INGREDIENTS
Puliyogare Spice Mix
2 tsp sesame oil
2 tbs coriander seeds
1 tbsp chana dal
1 tbsp urad dal
1/4 tsp peppercorn
1 tsp sesame seeds
3 to 4 dry red chilies
1/4 tsp methi seeds
1/4 tsp sea salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Roast all spices mentioned for puliyogare spice mix in a pan.
Put the roasted spices in a separate plate and let it cool.
Add roasted spices into blender and grind them into a powder
Store spice mix in a jar. This spice mix will stay good for 7 to 10 days.
